Elsinore is a northwest Edmonton neighbourhood in the Castle Downs Extension area, in the tastawiyiniwak ward. Anthony Henday Drive bounds it to the north, 97 Street to the east, 106 Street to the west and 173 Avenue to the south, making it Castle Downs' most north-easterly community.

Building ran from the late 1980s into the early 2000s on former farm land, so most homes are detached single-family on interior loops and cul-de-sacs, screened from the arterial roads. Lots are wide and density stays low, with a small pocket of row housing and low-rise apartment added in 2012. The Castle Downs castle convention gave Elsinore its name, honouring Elsinore Castle in Denmark, the setting for Shakespeare's Hamlet.
A linear path system crosses the neighbourhood along a pipeline corridor, and a stormwater pond in the south doubles as park space. The Baturyn Community League serves Baturyn, Canossa, Chambery, Elsinore and Rapperswill from its hall and rink on 172 Avenue. École À la Découverte, a francophone Prématernelle to Grade 9 school run by Conseil scolaire Centre-Nord, sits at 17610 104 Street, while the reserved school and park site remains undeveloped.
For buyers, Elsinore offers established detached homes, quiet crescents and quick access to Anthony Henday Drive and 97 Street, with the Castle Downs Transit Centre a short trip west. What buyers give up is walkability: no grocery store sits inside the boundary and most errands need a car. For sellers, the appeal is a settled street with mature landscaping, but buyers weigh it against newer builds in Chambery and Canossa.
