Ramsay Heights is a mature southwest Edmonton neighbourhood in the Riverbend area, above the North Saskatchewan River valley. Whitemud and Terwillegar Drives bound it east, 40 Avenue south and 51 Avenue north. Annexed in 1960 and planned through the 1969 Riverbend-Terwillegar Heights Outline Plan, it was subdivided from the early 1970s and named for Walter Ramsay, an early teacher and florist.

Streets follow curvilinear curves and cul-de-sacs around a central school and recreation site. Housing mixes single-detached homes with higher-density multiple units, with commercial clustered along Riverbend Road. Most detached homes date from the 1970s and 1980s; a few large Glamorgan-plan lots remain beside the valley. Tenure is largely owner-occupied, with some rental apartments and townhomes.
It is organized around a central park and school site on a high vantage point over the city. Edmonton Public students attend Riverbend School (grades 7-9), Brander Gardens and Brookside elementaries; Catholic families have St. Boniface Elementary on 40 Avenue. Attendance boundaries change, so confirm your address with the school division's attendance finder. River valley trails follow the west edge and ETS runs on Riverbend Road, but there is no LRT here.
For buyers, Ramsay Heights offers established trees, valley access and quick links to Whitemud Drive, but the housing is aging and much needs updating. For sellers, the mature setting and valley views draw interest, yet apartments and townhomes bring competition from similar units, and condition moves value more than size.
