Local notes

What to know about Devon.

The river valley is the town’s frame

The Town places Devon on the banks of the North Saskatchewan and identifies it as the western anchor of the River Valley Alliance. Its relocation page says the river valley and the town contain more than 14 kilometres of trails. Voyageur Park and the neighbourhood connections are on the Town’s parks and trails pages. Trail grade and seasonal conditions are property-specific.

Southwest of Edmonton, near the airport employment areas

The Town describes Devon as southwest of Edmonton and near the airport, Nisku, and Acheson. Those are locations, not a commute time. The route you would actually drive still has to be tested at the hour you would use it.

A pre-booked community bus

Devon’s Community Bus is a pre-booked, accessible door-to-door service. The Town schedules it in Devon and to Leduc on specified days. It is not an all-day commuter network into Edmonton. The current days are on the Town’s Community Bus page.

Black Gold’s designated-school lookup

Black Gold School Division publishes a designated-school lookup and explains that boundaries support how facilities are used. Confirm the address, the grade, and any separate program with the division. This page does not name a catchment.
