What to know about Fairways North.

The November 29, 2012 plan places the area in the eastern part of Stony Plain. The Canadian National Railway right-of-way is the north edge, with the Homesteads neighbourhood and South Business Park beyond it. Graybriar and Boundary Road lie to the east. The Stony Plain Golf Course and the Fairways neighbourhood lie to the south. Golf Course Road and more of the golf course lie to the west.

The plan replaces the undeveloped remainder of the 1990 Golf Course Area Structure Plan for this piece. The southern part of that older plan had already been built as the Fairways neighbourhood.

Low-density land is 6.32 hectares, planned as single detached houses with front drive access, at 20 units per hectare. The statistics table lists 126 low-density units and a plan population of 415. Medium-density land is 4.26 hectares at 36 units per hectare, listed as 153 units and a plan population of 336.

Together the table lists 279 units and a plan population of 751. Parks and municipal reserve are 1.73 hectares. The stormwater management facility is 1.51 hectares. The reserve note subtracts 0.66 hectares allocated to the Stony Plain Golf Course before the 10 percent calculation. Briarwood Way is a 0.40 hectare row in the same table.
