What to know about South Creek.

The plan area is the northeast quarter of section 30, township 52, range 27, west of the 4th meridian, which the text measures as 64.39 hectares or 159.1 acres. It sits in the southeast of town. Boundary Road and the municipal boundary are the east edge. Developing residential land by Fairway Drive is to the north.

Qualico Developments West prepared the plan for the registered owner of most of the land. The ownership table lists Qualico at 35.90 hectares, Howard's Transport Services at 16.19 hectares, and D R & F Holdings at 12.30 hectares.

The land-use concept uses Atim Creek and the ravine as the focal point, with stormwater ponds and a central park linked to existing park space on Fairway Drive. Viewpoint parks are planned along the top of bank. Housing in the concept is a variety of single-family forms at low density. Services are planned to extend south and west for later development.

The Tussic area structure plan, adopted later, places South Creek north of Tussic's southeast quarter. This page uses the South Creek plan for South Creek, and does not borrow Tussic's statistics. The quarter is an edge-of-town cell because Boundary Road and the municipal boundary are the same east side.
